NCGA Foundation Grant Guidelines and Philosophies

In 2009 the NCGA Foundation awarded approximately $100,000 in grants to 23 youth organizations throughout Northern California at its annual grants meeting in April.

Youth organizations will use the distributed funds for items such as PGA instruction, golf course and range access, transportation and volunteer training. All funded programs must demonstrate a focus on life skills and values education for full consideration. Over the last 10 years, the NCGA Foundation has distributed more than $1 million in grants to more than 50 youth organizations such as First Tee programs and elementary schools.

"The NCGA Foundation is critical to the success of our organization, especially at a time such as now when the Sacramento market is under such great economic strain," said Terry Privott, executive director of The First Tee of Greater Sacramento. "Simply put, they are awesome."
